HYDERABAD: The Chief Minister Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy
today positively responded to the proposal of completing the remaining Aadhaar
card enrolment works by the State Registrar, A.P. State Civil Supplies
Department. The Chief Minister held a detailed review meeting with Chief
Secretary and other top officials at Secretariat.
The Chief Minister reviewed the Progress of Aadhaar
Enrolment, decision on allotment of uncovered areas to the State registrar or
non State registrars, time frame for completion of enrolments in the areas
allotted to the State registrar and status on use of the Aadhaar number in the
delivery mechanism entrusted to IT&C Department and State Resident Data Hub.

meeting.
As far as status of Aadhar enrolment is concerned, as on
3-7-2012, the total population of Andhra Pradesh is 8,46,65,533 and the total
enrolment is 5,20,09,331 (61%), Aadhaar generated is 4,49,89,401 (86% of the
enrolment), letters delivered is 3,65,69,376. As far as agency-wise enrolment
status is concerned, the State Registrar, the Civil Supplies Department has
done 3.08 crs enrolment and non-registrars SBI has done 1.73 crs, India Post
3.65 lakh, Central Bank-2.32 lakh, NSDL-6.07 lakh, RGI-18.57lakh, UBI-4.03 lakh,
Canara Bank-0.24 lakh, SBH-3.12 lakh, IOB-0.25 lakh, BOI-0.37 lakh and total
enrolment by non-state registrars are 2.12 crs and total enrolment is 5.20 crs.
As far as decision on allotment of non-municipal uncovered
areas of 16 districts are concerned, UIDAI has permitted the non-State
Registrars to enrol in their premises within the radius of 500 meters, UIDAI
has also informed that if any non-State Registrar desires to undertake
enrolments outside their premises, State level UID Implementation Committee has
to approve for taking up enrolments and Restrictions on data sharing by non
State registrars.
The Government of India informed that 5 districts
Hyderabad, Chittoor, East Godavari, Anantapur and Ranga Reddy are identified
for initiating as pilots related to certain Government schemes based on Aadhaar,
having completed enrolment of 5.20 crore, accounting for 26% of country wide
enrolment, the State is possibly the first state ready to roll out a service on
Aadhaar basis across the country.
Action Plan for completion of enrolments in the areas
allotted to the State Registrar: Tenders have been called for the Aadhaar
enrolment in the municipal areas of 15 districts allotted to State Registrar
(except Vizianagaram district where the Census Department have completed
enrolment under NPR), tenders will be finalized in the first week of July, 2012
and enrolment in these districts will be completed at the earliest.
