Chief Minister Dr K.Rosaiah today paid glowing tributes to
the former late Chief Minister Late, Dr Y.S.Rajashekar Reddy.
As Doctors advised the Chief Minister (in view of his
illness) to take rest for the entire day, he could not reach Nallakaluva in
Kurnool district to participate in the programme related to ‘YSR SMRUTIVANAM’.
He, however, deputed his cabinet colleague Mr. Manikya Varaprasad, Minister
for School Education to read his Message at the Programme.
Though not doing well, the Chief Minister chose to spend
some time before the portrait of DrY.S.Rajashekar Reddy getting into
reminiscences of their association. At his residence itself, the Chief
Minister Sri Rosaiah garlanded the portrait of beloved leader Dr Y.S.
Rajashekar Reddy and shared some of his views with the cabinet colleagues,
friends and officials present there.
In his words “I admire him for the unusual straights in
his personality, and can never forget him. He always kept me in high esteem in
spite of differences of opinion between us on any issue. I enjoyed his love and
affection. Secondly on a number of occasions he exhibited extraordinary courage
and perseverance to achieve what he aimed at, in the interest of the State. In
his view, obstacles can be surmounted if our vision is on the target.
Sri Rosaiah apologised to the people of the State for his
inability to participate in the first death anniversary programme of Dr Y.S.R
today.
The Chief Minister recalled how the four officers, Viz:
Prl. Secretary to the then C.M, Dr. P.Subramanyam, Security Officer to the
then C.M Mr. Wesley and Pilots Mr. Bhatia and Mr. M.S. Reddy unfortunately
died on the spot in the Copter mishap along with Dr. Y.S.R.
The Chief Minister personally wrote letters to the wives
of all these officers expressing his grief and conveyed his sympathies to the
bereaved families. Recalling the dedicated services of those Officers, the
Chief Minister prayed the Almighty to bless these families and help them to
overcome the grief and agony.
Ministers Smt. Sabita Indra Reddy, Mr.Danam Nagender and
Mr.Mukesh Goud and Mr.Anjankumar Yadav, MP and others were present.
