Filling up of
4,048 posts of different categories in all the municipalities
Chief Minister Dr. K. Rosaiah today agreed for filling up
of 4,048 posts of different categories in all the municipalities including Greater Vijayawada Municipal Corporation
and some other corporations. These posts will be filled in
three phases viz.1400 posts in 2011-12, 1334 posts in 2012-13 and 1314 posts in
2013-14. The following are the break up of the posts:
651 posts in Accounts wing, 322 in Revenue wing, 686 in
Engineering wing, 918 in Town Planning wing, 1,153 posts in Administration wing
and 318 in Public Health wings of the respective Municipalilities/Corporations.
The Chief Minister also agreed to sanction and fill up of
90 new Technical posts in the Pollution Control Board. Besides, he has agreed
to fill up the existing 38 vacant posts in the Ministerial cadre
(Assistants/typists) through direct recruitment.
The Chief Minister today cleared the files of the
respective departments. With this, the long pending issues of filling up the
posts there has been solved and better services could be provided to the
people, the Chief Minister felt.
