C.M. expresses happiness over the peaceful conduct of
Ganesh Nimajjan
“Well done. Keep it up” - Chief Minister Dr K.Rosaiah
commended the police and other department officials concerned for the peaceful
conclusion of the Ganesh nimajjan ceremony particularly in the city for the
last eleven days, particularly on the concluding day today (Wednesday). The
Chief Minister wholeheartedly congratulated DGP, Mr.K.Aravinda Rao,
Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, Mr.A.K.Khan, Commissioner of Police,
Cyberabad, Mr.Prabhakar Reddy, Collector, Hyderabad, Mr.Natarajan Guljar and
Collector, Ranga Reddy Mr.Dhana Kishore, Commissioner, GHMC, Mr.Sameer Sarma
and the senior officials and staff of G.H.M.C in this regard.
The Chief Minister reviewed the situation in the City
today evening with the Chief Secretary, Mr.S.V.Prasad and senior officials of
CMO over telephone.
The Chief Minister also thanked the people of the State,
particularly the citizens of Greater Hyderabad for their unstinted cooperation
in the peaceful conduct of the Ganesh nimajjan. He said, it is the people’s
cooperation and collective vigil that resulted in the successful conduct of the
festival. He hoped that the people would continue to show the same enthusiasm,
zeal and vigil in future too.
“Congratulations, your constant vigil, continuous
monitoring, orderly behaviour and proper coordination at the right time
resulted in the smooth conduct of the festival. You have helped in maintaining
the communal harmony for which Hyderabad is famous”, the Chief Minister told
the Ganesh Utsav Committee and all members of the each and every association of
the Ganesh utsav in lanes and by-lanes of the city. The Chief Minister also
thanked both the Print and Electronic media for their cooperation in this
regard.
He also appreciated CMD, CPDCL, Mr.T.Krishna Babu, M.D.,
Hyderabad Metro Water Works, Mr.Jagadeesh, officials of R&B, Private Crane
operators, lorry owners, NGOs, other voluntary organizations who have helped in
their own way to the smooth and peaceful conduct of the festival.
The Chief Minister particularly thanked the various colony
residents and welfare organizations of the Greater Hyderabad area that
cooperated in the smooth and peaceful conduct of the nimajjan in other lakes on
the city outskirts. The Chief Minister hoped that the same cooperation and
spirit should continue in the days to come to maintain absolute communal
harmony befitting the traditions of historic twin-cities of Hyderabad &
Secunderabad.
The Chief
Minister however cautioned the Police department to be vigilant and take all
precautionary measures to deal with the situation in view of the pronouncement
of judgement of Allahabad High Court on the issue of ‘Babri
Masjid-Ramjanmabhoomi’ issue on Friday (24th September). He once again
appealed to the public, all political leaders and elders of all communities to
ensure that peace and harmony prevail.
